BRIDGEPORT, NE — The C2-11 Subdistrict Championship game is scheduled for Thursday in Bridgeport.

The Bridgeport Lady Bulldogs and Perkins County Plainsmen won the semi-finals on Tuesday night to advance to the final later this week. Top-seeded Bridgeport led wire to wire, eliminating Sutherland 69-38 while No. 2 seed Perkins County beat Kimball 55-39.

Ruthie Loomis-Goltl led Bridgeport in their victory with 23 points, including 9 of 10 shots from the free throw line. Olivia Loomis-Goltl backed her up with 21 points. As a team, the Bulldogs shot 80% from the free throw lines.

History Rasby beat Sutherland with 10 points. The Sailors had six three-pointers in the game, but that wasn’t enough to keep pace with Bridgeport.

Kimball hit the opener in their game against Perkins County, but the Plainsmen then raced 16-0 to take the lead and they never gave it up.

Perkins County was led by Kailee Potts who scored 15 points while Libby Cole had 14 and Hallie Fisher added 10 points. Chantel Malson beat Kimball with 13 points and Katie Heeg finished with 11.

This sets up a C2-11 sub-district championship between Perkins County and Bridgeport. The game is Thursday at 6:30 p.m. and will be streamed live on 98.7 The Big Boy, newschannelnebraska.com and the NCN app.
