Jaipur: The Department of Industry and Commerce of Rajasthan has open doors for direct dialogue with representatives of commerce and industry in the state. The first such discussion was organized by the Investment Promotion Office in Jaipur in association with the PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry and more such interactions will take place soon at the division headquarters.
BIP Commissioner, Shri OM Kasera, briefed investors on OSS and its impact on fast track clearances for investment proposals. The OSS through its portal provides more than 100 services from 14 different departments. Any investment proposal of Rs 10 crore or more can access it through the portal and the required clearances and clearances are to be decided in a time-limited format.
“The direct dialogue between industry and the ministry helps to better understand the various government programs, while also helping to suggest additional improvements. Today we held the first discussion in the series and we look forward to holding more such interactions at Zonal Level,” said ACS Industry and Trade, Ms. Veenu Gupta.
The dialogue aims to provide investors with a better understanding of the state government’s industry-friendly initiatives, such as the Single Window (OSS). Industrialists and investors present at the discussion also got a glimpse of emerging investment opportunities in the state. Addressing the congregation MD RIICO, Shri. Shiv Prasad Nakate briefed on the new industrial townships and other industrial zones being developed by RIICO in the state.
The government of Rajasthan is committed to facilitating the receipt of investment interests. The State Nodal Agency for Investment – Investment Promotion Bureau organized the program on One-Stop Shop and informed the facilities under One-Stop Shop.
The government has focused on ensuring a transparent and hassle-free ecosystem for state-bound investments. The establishment of OSS in 2020 is a continuation of various industry-friendly measures taken by the government, such as the Rajasthan Industrial Development Policy (2019), the Rajasthan Investment Promotion Program (2019 ) and the MSME (Establishment and Operation Facilitation) Act 2019.
Under OSS clearances for 14 departments, namely, Industries, RIICO Ltd, Energy, Labour, Urban Development, Local Self-Governance, Pollution Control Council, Consumption, Tourism, Revenue, Factory and Boilers, Public Works, Public Health Engineering and Health be facilitated under one roof at the one stop shop housed in the Investment Promotion Office. By introducing this facility, the government has relieved investors from going from office to office, as permissions can now be obtained by logging into the official OSS portal and queries regarding any permission/procedure can now be sorted at one-stop shop. in Udyog Bhawan.
