Go Joe 24 starts from the News Station

It’s the first day of Go Joe 24, Joe Snedeker’s charity bike ride for St. Joseph’s Center.

MOOSIC, PA — It’s ready to roll! Go Joe 24 kicked off Monday morning from our news station in Moosic.

He plans to travel through Luzerne County and Schuylkill County before ending the day in Shenandoah.

The first leg of his journey is about 57 miles.

The intrepid cycling meteorologist raises funds for St. Joseph’s Center, a place that cares for people with disabilities, offers medical day care and facilitates adoptions.

We will end the week at the reduced Summer Fest in Saint Joe.

The festival at Marywood University includes the WNEP Telethon for St. Joe’s, which runs from 8-10 p.m. Saturday, July 24, right here on WNEP.

If you’re looking for a casual way to participate in Go Joe 24, there’s a special fundraising event at Montage Mountain in Scranton on Monday, July 19.

Meet at the water park between 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. to support Go Joe 24 and the Center Saint Joseph.

You can relax in the lazy river or enjoy the water slides.

100% of all water park entries will be donated to the cause.
