Actor Jim Belushi gave an impromptu weather forecast for WGN TV in Chicago on Friday.
He was originally at the studio to talk about the upcoming Blues Brothers show.
“It sucks,” he said, pointing to Chicago on the map. “It’s hot.”
“If you look this way, it’s going to be hot, hot hot. Thunderstorms Wednesday – be careful. Listen, traffic is gonna be bad on the Eisenhower. [Expressway] rain or not,” he joked.
He also pointed to expected rainfall over Chicago and a storm north of Wisconsin.
“Hey, you get three meteorology credits just for that,” WGN Meteorologist Tom’s Skill said.
Skilling also noted that Belushi was more natural than Nicholas Cagewho attempted the prognosis in 2005 while doing promos for his 2005 film The meteorologist.
Belushi, with Dan Aykroydis scheduled to perform on the first night of the inaugural Blues Brother Con festival August 19-20 at Old Joliet Prison in Illinois.
“We’re going to sing and dance, do ‘Soul Man.’ And rumor has it that some of the original band members are going to show up,” Belushi said.
