Smithtown Parking Violation Amnesty Program Extended

The Smithtown Department of Public Safety will extend a 50% reduction in the cost of parking violation summons through July

The City of Smithtown Public Safety Department has extended the amnesty program for all parking tickets issued over the past nine years. People who missed the opportunity last month to pay late parking tickets/tickets can take advantage of the amnesty program until July. All parking violations issued between January 1, 2013 and December 31, 2021 can be refunded with a 50% reduction on the amount of outstanding summons from July 1, 2022 to July 31, 2022.


To accept this offer, you must pay the full amount of the amnesty offer before July 31, 2022. You can pay online or you can pay by check or money order at 65 Maple Avenue, Smithtown. If you pleaded “not guilty” to these parking tickets, you can change your plea to “guilty” to take advantage of the 50% discount.

This offer ends July 31, 2022 when full fines and penalties will be reinstated.

The amnesty program applies to any outstanding summons issued between January 1, 2013 and December 31, 2021. The extended offer of a 50% payout reduction is available from July 1, 2022 through July 31, 2022.
